Aran News | Bioflex:Tailor-made bags for the world of biotechnology
| Aran is not only food packages: already for several years the company has been developing and manufacturing unique packaging products for the hi-tech world, with emphasis upon the flourishing field of biotechnology. In the last few years, Aran has collaborated with leading Israeli bio-tech companies and produces special tailor-made packages, for sensitive medical and biological products. Some of these solutions are integrated at the customers’ sites already at the primary research stages and support the R&D activity on the way to production of new products in the field of medicine, industry, and agriculture. One of the interesting Aran solutions in this field is the development of two kinds of products for the Israeli medical company ,Protalix: one is the elastic and sterile container (“reactor”) used as natural habitats for biological cell cultures, and the other is the aseptic single-use bags used for packaging and storage of products during manufacturing processes. For the purpose of this activity, the clean working environment was created at the Aran factory which was designed for production of advanced bio-tech products. In the Aran development department, they say that this is a complicated technological challenge, since the bag required for the bio-tech world is a multi-fitment package with a volume of 1000 litres or more, manufactured specifically according to the specifications and the requirements of customers at each site. |
